Hear some Madras Thamizh (or) get yourself scolded by an auto-driver in chaste Madras Thamizh for no fault of yours. ;)

Get drenched in the Madras rains and wade around after that :)

Try speaking in Tamil (if you are a non-Tamilian). I dunno how it is now, but a lot of the aam-janta are fanatic about non-natives & language. Folks in Karnataka are far more hospitable and give you respect generally (the black sheep are far and few in-between in K'taka)

and not to forget

- watching planes land from the top of st. thomas mount

- broken bridge is definitely an awesome place, but wud be more awesome sans the filth

- the great sea food at bessy beach

- trying ultimate frisbee at bessy on weekend mornings

- bicycle ride to mahabs with the biking gang

- photowalks

- watching the sea from 'No Sky Above' (Tangy, ECR)

- dancing away to glory at EC41 (the entry is quite spooky though)

- long drives on ECR and a sneak peak into the pine forests that look quite interesting

- chaat at india chaat corner at shastri nagar

- feeling the gushing wind standing at the doors of the MRTS trains, and have a bird's eye view of the city around (of course you see the filth filled Buckingham Canal for most of the ride)

- a long bus ride to some area in chennai that u've never been to before

- a visit to the Madras War Cemetary and check if there are ghosts to haunt you :P

- climb the rocks at mahabs, and check out the mini europe happening there on the other side of mahabs, heard there is surfing happening too

- take a walk inside IIT, watch the deers cross while u drive, sit in the stadium gallery and watch the lush lawn

- wonder about the significance of the public art in front of the Tidel Park

lots more of course..! still looking for new things/places to see in chennai... esp places off the beaten track

P.S. I'm not the same anonymous as the previous one :P

Any cafes, bars, events etc. etc.?
