Hum jo mile pehli baar...maine jaanaa kya hai pyaar...

Hold On!!!!  Atlast got to watch the much hyped movie... wanted to watch since d first positive review came out.. but wat to do, given the bottlenecked work schedule and stupid show timings, i gave it a miss so far....

Saturday came and i got some time to breath finally.... off we went to PVR cinemas (we== Vikky and me).....

Time 7 10 pm.... And lo behold..... ROCK ON!!!

I like Arjun Rampal rite from his "Ek Ajnabee" time so was looking forward for the manly, Handsome, smart... cough cough.... Farhan was ok types.... Loved Purab Kohli as Killer Drummer... he is the lively soul of the movie.... Luke Kenny, man wat a performance.....

Spoiler Alert # All, who havent seen this yet stop here... by all means are u requested to go watch the movie....

Prachi Desai as Sakshi Shroff played her Insecure house-wife smoothly... Let it be saying " I wanted you to know about my pregenancy when you are happy.. but now i dont know even if u are happy hearing this" to her harried Husband or be it glowing with pride and happiness when he starts jamming with his friends again... Prachi SHINEs... Ya Ya Roshan, her smile Dazzles....

Shahana Goswami as Debbie Mascarenhas reminded me more of my SIL who constantly nags my bro... stylist turned into business women (fish monger??) turned into stylist... *Phew*... did wonderful henpecking on Arjun @ Joe....Roshan i liked her smile too....

Arjun Rampal as Joseph 'Joe' Mascarenhas... atlast he gets a role to remember... the demure Joe has less dialogues and more screen presence... liked the final 10 minutes when shakes off Debbie's hand and moves towards his dream... Ermmm actually loved the scene when he strums his guitar on stage, eyes closed, with wind blowing on his face.... It YELLED passionate music.... me went butter knees..... Sighsssss....

Farhan Akhtar as Aditya Shroff.... already much written on him in blogsville.... nothing more to add..

Purab Kohli as Kedar Zaveri aka Killer Drummer aka K.D is the back bone of the movie... Positive attitude, constant smile (no, he is not the Joker) and being there to pep u up kind of guy... pity he wasnt a success with girls.... ;-P Loved the drumming sequence when MAgik performs for the last time...

Luke Kenny as Rob Nancy.... dunno why.. but thought he was a gay for most of the movie... saw the anguish in his face wen Debbie encourages Joe before their first on stage performance.. dunno if it was yearning for love or something else.. i will never know... :-(

Moments that made me love the movie:

* The correct blend of flashbacks with current times without spoiling the flow....

* When Sakshi presents a guitar to Aditya...

* Debbie's complain that the fish smell never leaves her hands...

* The smile and pride on Andy's (Joe's son) face when he watches his father jamming with his friends...

* Anguish of Tanya when aditya leaves her and understanding he wont be back...

All in all.. a great movie after a long time to sit back the be nostalgic about your college days....

That evening i called wookie to say i finally watched the movie... The ensued conversation

Wookie: Ek baath boloon... gussa tho nahi karegi na... (Shall i say something?? hope u wont get angry...)
Barbie/Rat : Haan Bol.. (yeah, spit it out)
Wookie: I didnt Like Farhan Aktaar
Barbie: So... Wats in this...
Wookie: Oh i tot u wud have liked him...
Barbie: ????@#$%^&

Dumbass...Dumbass...  Rest assured Wookie... for a change i didnt like this debut actor....
